This term, when disassembled, speaks to many of my concerns as an artist. It describes the overall view seen from a distance and suggests the verification of that image with a physical exploration of the space close up. Travel is often necessary. There is a reference to viewing devices and ways of recording and documenting space. An assumption is implicit that at the end, all will be revealed and known for what it is.
